Sue Heimbecker

Susan M. Heimbecker graduated from Rosemont College. As part of her undergraduate work, she spent a semester studying at Trinity College, University of Dublin, Ireland. Her college education was also enhanced by working in the mortgage business, covering everything from loan processing to post closing, as well as the secondary finance market. Upon graduation, Susan managed several retail businesses located in the Philadelphia, Montgomery and Delaware Counties.

While continuing to manage the retail businesses, she attended Widener School of Law in Wilmington. As part of her legal education, Susan clerked for the Honorable Francis P. Cosgrove in the First Judicial District in Pennsylvania.

As a judicial law clerk, Susan played an important role in establishing the Municipal Court Landlord Tenant Appeals Program. While clerking, she researched and drafted numerous opinions to the Superior and Commonwealth Courts covering a wide range of legal issues.

In 2001, Susan was appointed as a Trial Commissioner in the Philadelphia Municipal Court, a quasi-judicial position in which the Commissioner oversees the disposition of thousands of Landlord-Tenant and Small Claims cases per month.

In 2004, Susan started a title agency, Logan Square Abstract, LLC, earning her title license in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Since then, the primary focus of her law practice has been real estate; title law; lender representation and energy law.
