Donna M. Chiccarine

Donna concentrates her practice in the areas of Business Law, Real Estate, Oil and Gas and Equine Law.

Donna brings a valuable and diverse background to the firm. Prior to being co-founder of the firm, she served as business manager and in house counsel at Fluitron, Inc., a multi-national engineering firm. In her capacity as in house counsel, she advised the company on all of its legal and business needs. She has advised, negotiated and prepared contractual agreements with companies and vendors throughout the world, giving her a very unique skill set. Donna draws on this vast knowledge and business experience in consulting and advising her business clients.

Donna also chairs the firm's Equine Law Department. Donna has extensive experience in the very specialized field of Equine Law. Services she provides for her clients include drafting sale and lease agreements for horses, litigating negligence cases and consulting on liability issues for farm owners. Whether your horse legal problem entails a simple horse bill of sale or a complex case of nondisclosure, we have the background to truly understand your situation. In this area, Donna also brings real world experience to her practice. Not only does she practice in this area, but she is also active in the industry. She is a farm owner herself of a boarding facility in Bucks County and has a decorated riding history. She competes on the national level of the USAEq Equestrian Hunter Circuit. She began riding at the age of six, and has continued to compete on the national level on horses handpicked by and trained by her; qualifying for such national shows at The Devon Horse Show. While attending undergraduate school, she worked for five time Olympian and Olympic Coach Frank Chapo, training and showing his young jumpers. Donna has a unique knowledge of the industry and a real world understanding of the complex issues confronting her clients.

Education

Donna completed her undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College, Doylestown, Pa. with a pre-veterinary major. She earned her Juris Doctorate at Weidner University School of Law, Wilmington, Delaware.
